The last few times I've used the hole in the wall I've not been able to get what I wanted. I had to drop off some coinage at the local CBA this afternoon so thought I would phone in advance and order a few bags of $1 and 20c. Was told they wouldn't have any $1 bags until next week because Armaguard was striking and coin deliveries were all over the shop. Now it makes sense. Not sure what other banks than CBA use Armaguard.

CBA, NAB, Suncorp all use Armaguard.

Westpac uses Prosegur.

Bank of Queensland doesn't like coins and carry on if you ask for some.

(I have accounts with all of these banks)

That means Bank of Melbourne, BankSA and St George will probably use Prosegur too.

Then again, wouldn't more money mean more work?

Went to the bank today to put some coins through the coin deposit machine only to find "This Machine is Temporarily out of service". Asked inside and the teller said the machine is full and Armaguard are on strike and since they are the ones who empty it it will be out of action for a while.

I think their staff need to be trained how to change the bags. Other banks manage all right.

And where would they put the bags? In a bank vault? Well, they might not have one anymore.
