Hey everybody, I have been away for a bit. I am SURE you all are missing my emojis. LOL!!! I have here what I THINK is a DDO on this dime. QUESTIONS: Is is a DDO? If so Is it worth grading and how much you think it is worth? I know it is not worth millions. However it is my first wild find.

Not seeing it. There hasn't been a DDO in dimes since 89.

It looks like deterioration, it's not a doubled die.

@cujohn where are you getting your information on the no DDOs on dimes since 1989? There are several major ones including the 2004 doubled ear and the 2007-P on IGWT that was listed by Crawford.

My bad. I went by one source.

Quote: My bad. I went by one source. I won't lie, I typically use VV but look at the other two for a broader listing base and to check for different markers. VV is usually easier for me to navigate and see more at once, cuts down on search time for me. Sam paid no attention to my post either.

@cujohn no problem! I find that VV is pretty lacking when it comes to dimes. I much prefer Wexler for them, though even there many things go unreported. The issue is not so much that dime varieties don't exist, but that they're one of the least-searched denominations by variety hunters. I have found quite a few unlisted DDRs (both extra thickness and center design doubling), and I suspect there are many out there still to be found.
