The devices are looking normal sized. I don't see hub doubling on these. The '9' may have had an injury on that device.

Note the '9' on these DDO examples. Note the arrow. That is what I discovered on the DDO's. Without these seen on a 1972 coin, then you can move on to the next coin. What are you seeing as hub doubling? There is a lot of contact marks on this coin. Almost as what what we would see on a parking lot coin.

Other than a good dose of circulation damage, I'm not seeing DDO characteristics.

Other than a very slight MAD (or off center strike, depending on what the rev looks like), this looks normal to me too.
