I got bored and decided to go through some of my 64-69 Kennedy halves to find anything I missed and found a 1964 D/D. Bummer the obverse is wrecked.

Even still, those split serifs show very nicely. Well done making us of some down time.

Agree RPM-009/WRPM-005 not RPM-012 which shows rotated CCW, Your coin shows rotated CW.

I do not contest the MM. I see like a die crack on Observe, but I am interested of the digit 9 and 6. See the 9 is doubled, characteristic with the MM RPM of 64.

I put RPM-009 on the flip at first. Then realized it was actually the 012 After looking closely at it but I may be wrong as well

Can't be RPM-012, mintmark location is wrong. Yours is too far away from the eagle's claw.
I think that the die scratches above the mintmark may match RPM-009/WPRM-005 perfectly but the lighting in your photo doesn't catch them very well.

Let me get a better picture with different lighting. This new setup is weird when it takes photos. Not sure if it is the delay when I hit the take photo icon or the microscope itself. Let me try my old scope and compare. Looking at it now may be a 009.

Capt...it is very easy to tell the CONECA listed 64D RPM-009 and the 64D RPM-012 apart, they are very similar. The 64D RPM-009 has the RDV-001 (Flared G). The 64D RPM-012 has the RDV-002 (Straight G). There is a good marker for the 64D RPM-009, the die scratches to the left and above the mintmark, see attached photo. I can see them on all the stages of the RPM-009 in my collection, but they are hard to locate, try different angles. and maybe a slight tilt. Larry Nienaber
