John1,thanks for your opinion.The older cents are thought to have occurred from an improper Alloy Mix.May modern woodys have been caused by roller marks or imperfect planchet metal?
The reverse is fascinating. I'm not too quick to call roller lines on this one. May have been a plating issue of some form. Weight indicated this is a zinc core cent?
