Pics too dark to see surface details clearly.

Hairlines noticable on close inspection, along with no luster. Certainly cleaned, and quite unfortunate on this beautiful coin. It looks MS Details.

A sharply-struck coin with no signs of wear. A couple wispy hairlines are visible on the obverse; maybe they are on the holder rather than the coin? I can't tell if the coin is actually in a holder. The strike and lack of contact marks are consistent with an MS-65 grade but the surfaces have a processed look with no visible luster. Hopefully it looks better in-hand. Based on these images I'd presume it's a cleaned coin, likely over-dipped.

How you guys can grade from these dark, bland pics is beyond me.

The run of half dollars in the auction was impressive. Unfortunately they all looked like this, lifeless. Same was true of Seated dollars that were clearly MS but overdipped.

Quote: Pics too dark to see surface details clearly. Pictures are just fine. The coin itself is the issue of being too dark, because it was cleaned If only this coin had booming original luster...
