Hi everyone,
I am helping someone go through many coins that were put in change jars, bowls etc for many years. Maybe there is something that has some value? I am interested in finding out about this coin and grade. The coloring in the pictures is darker than on the coin. It is actually closest to the 2nd picture. Also, what is that under his earlobe? Thank you for all of your help

Sorry :(
Typical circulated half dollar. Tones/stained from circulation. The marks are just hits from circulation. There is some slight Machine Doubling on the lettering n the REV - also not rare of collectable.

Surface detail somewhat vague in these pics but I'll take a stab at this, AU-58 or MS-61 depending on if the surfaces show circulation

Pics really don't show the luster and surface detail well. I'll say AU-58.

I'm leaning more towards AU-50 range. It has quite a few bag marks and signs of wear on the ear, cheekbone, and the hair.
