Not 100% sure if this is the DDO-003, F.S.-103 but I looked at the comparison to what is on variety vista and this one matches the best. The condition from circulation may have worn down some of the date's doubling. The markers in "Liberty" especially the L made me come to the conclusion that this is the 003.

Let me know if I am wrong. I just picked a few rolls of cents from Publix and this was the first one I looked at and just noticed the date was a little fatter without my scope.

I agree it is a little hard to be sure which one you've got, but there is nice separation on the doubling with the letters of IGWT.

In my opinion it is 1972-D DDO-002, 2-O-I-CW

This is DDO-008. You can tell by the shape of the tail on the 2 (maybe coop will chime in to share his great info graphic on this).

@silviosi definitely not 002 as 002 is CCW and this is a CW rotation. Also, on that note, you listed the wrong CONECA name for 002. It's 2-O-I-CCW, not CW. Maybe that is why you're getting confused?

@captjeff it's 100% 008, I was just saying Coop has a good info graphic he likes to post that shows how you can differentiate 008 and 003.

Sweet! Congratulations! I really like your scope pics, they came out really nice. It also helps me to learn to focus my scope so as to see separation lines properly.

Congrats also on your 100th post!

PS: When I made 100 posts, the mods went in and took away credit for my one-liners like, "Cool!" or "Thank you!" ha ha. So I lost half of my posts and went back down to 51 :(.

Where's the Arnold image:
1972-P-DDO-003,-F.s?103-?
1972-P-DDO-003,-F.s?103-?
The DDO-002 shows a different rotation of the class one DDO, this one is in the other direction.
1972-P-DDO-003,-F.s?103-?
1972-P-DDO-003,-F.s?103-?
1972-P-DDO-003,-F.s?103-?
Different rotation directions, note the above location directions? CW=Clock Wise CCW= Counter Clock Wise

CoopHome: What does CW and CCW mean, a how does that affected doubled dies? Different hub directions on the class 1 doubled dies.

Thanks Coop, I see it in the 2 now so I will change the 3 to an 8. Which is easy enough and can keep the same flip it is in.

Is there another site besides Variety Vista, Wexlers and coppercoins? I see some do not have certain DDO or DDR listings. Why I ask, I have another possible DDO that I think may be just MD but that is what I thought this one was at first.
