, glad you can ask us! These are definitely better dates of two different dollars, one has to be a tad leery that these are not counterfeited. A good website to check for varieties is vamworld.com; carefully looking at the known vams on harder dates such as these can help weed out fakes and alterations. Also checking both coins, especially the 95-O for any suspicious oddities like lumpy areas, off looking devices can be essential. Both coins look washed out perhaps from monitor shots providing too much glare to see properly. We might also need to see better closer pictures to really help. Even from these photos, if these are genuine dollars, XF-45 for the 1895-O, and about XF-40 for the 1928-S.

Pictures like these are hard to grade from. Take these grades with a few grains of salt:
95-o looks very fine 30, maybe 35. Quite possibly cleaned.
28-s looks almost uncirculated 53/55. Could be better.

On quick glance, the 1895-O appears to not match an original.

how to take photos with an phone. this may help
1. remove coin from holder if possible 2. turn off flash 3. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day 4. move phone about 3in from coin 5. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus 6. hold phone steady. if you cant then place something on either side of the coin at that distance and lay phone on top. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring

the Peace dollar has been polished to within inches of its death. its worth silver. when you have a silver coin that the surfaces appear to be almost melted you can bet it was polished out

Those who say FAKE please explain. From the photos you can discern. Please you three (JimmyD, LazerPig and NumisEd) guys explain. Do only one of you past the exam of Chinese counterfeit coins?
