Hello everyone. Rather than play Russian Roulette with my coins, I will try and get some advice on this platform before even contemplating getting my 1966 Penny error cleaned and graded. As per photos, is my coin worth anything with this interesting thin sheet of planchet folded over on the reverse? I'm a newbie here and would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Looks like a fold over lamination. But note how the folded over area is not as strong as the stuck letters near that area? (MER on America) note how strong they are? I feel the fold over attachment happen after the strike, thus not a pre-strike issue. If the it were a prestruck issue, then the fold over would have been as strong as the AME devices. That is what I see on your coin.

CoopHome: How to tell if a fold over happened before/after the strike? some devices are strong (normal strike) fold over area not as strong as the struck area

It is generally said on this forum that unless a coin is worth 150.00, then you will not come out ahead by paying a company to grade it for you.

Also see the essay in my signature for an eye opening reality with linked data to the PCGS website on the actual lack of expertise of these companies (despite mass mindset) when it comes to error coins.

This link gives me a 502 [bad gateway] error. Can you recheck it?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

To the OP: I would just put it in a 2x2 and call it good.
