Hello everyone. I inherited some coins about 20 years ago and I'm looking to get rid of them. Are these worth anything? Why are they so discolored? Is that normal? Where can I find the value of these?

Those are Mercury dimes and are 90% silver so the least they are worth is the bullion value.
The color is just from environmental toning, all silver tones if not protected.
There may be some in there worth more but hard to tell from those pictures.
Maybe one of our Mercury collectors can shed some more light on values.

We'll need much larger images of both sides of each coin to help evaluate them.

With silver at about $19.66 an ounce, these dimes have about $1.42 worth of silver in them. Expect to get less than that if trying to sell them to a "we buy gold and silver" shop. As others have said, there might be a gem or two but need to have better pictures. You should handle them carefully so that you do not get finger oil on the surfaces or damage the surfaces more than they already may be, and, most importantly, do not use cleaners on them or try to polish them as that lowers or eliminates any premium numismatic value they might have.

There doesn't need to be better photos.

You guys are flat out silly, do you realize how much time is required to take, edit, and post each coin individually?

Don't waste your time doing that zendesk1.

It's very obvious all but maybe a couple are low grade or no premium.

The 16, 25-D and the 45 micro s are the only better dates here, together they only add a few bucks.

*If anything, the 1942 and 1942-d need close ups to see if there are any overdates.
You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

These are common date Mercury dimes, my dealer is giving $1.60 (or was a few days ago) for each. You can touch them all you want, its not going to make a difference. They are only worth bullion. Like stated above the 16, 25-d and 45-S have a little more premium but not much. If the 1942 is an overdate (highly unlikely) its worth a large premium, check for a 1 by the 2, its really obvious on the 1942, a little harder on the 1942 D. If you see a 1 next to the 2, post pictures, otherwise we don't need better pictures. Multiply the coins you have by $1.60 that's how much its approximately worth.

As silly as it might be, there are buyers on ebay who occasionally get carried away and pay $2-$4+ each for common Mercury dimes. Suggest checking ebay sold/completed sales information for Mercury dimes.
