Love the look. Does "barely circulated" describe it, or am I showing my lack of knowledge?

Seems like a little funniness around the mint mark - is this a Die Deterioration artifact?

What's not to like?

A tiny bit of friction on the cheek, and what looks to be a contact mark on the jaw are what keeps this from MS to me. AU-58, NICE!

I can easily see this one sliding into an MS holder unless that "S" is welded on!

Another coin I'm going to submit, just have to, it's a key. I'm praying for an MS-64, but there's a chance it may go lower. I think AU-58 will be the absolute minimum unless they say altered surfaces. I know another guy that has a coin very similar to this that was body bagged. I think the TPG's really struggle with grading woodies, it's a lot easier to bag it than to take the time to actually grade it.

I personally saw AU-58 because of the cheek, but again, I'm much better with barbers and Seated coins. that's what I'm crazy about : )

Thad, I suspect that there jaw and cheek are showing their strike quality and that it is not friction marks. The ear is too clean to have wear showing up that close. That said, the fields at the rim on the reverse concern me. If they pass muster it will go 63/64 in my opinion.
