So this one has a neat reverse. The pillar that's at the steps normally has the wall that goes up straight to the top step. This for some reason the wall comes down then curves like a river around the pillar? Ok strange.
Then you got this spot that seems like it's been grinned out then stamped or god knows what and you can still the G of the FG and at the right angle it's like you can see old building or something? Anyone seen anything like this?

I cannot see what you are referring to at the column, looks normal to me. I agree with I6609, it looks like a lam at the FG area.

By the FG looks like a struck through gritty grease. The column thing I do not understand what you are seeing/saying.

If less than 3.11 grams, a Lamination.
If 3.11 grams, a struck through error.
But the differences will be very slight.

But note the area looks incuse on some areas. So it could be a small grease copper flake that was struck through on that area. A Grease Fill often just leaves the area with shorter/wider devices. The debris prevents the full strike and post strike falls off later. When it falls off, we often see a ghost image of the devices and affect on that area.

Struck through copper flake. The lines on the steps are part of the design.

Ya I'll take more pics. It's super incuse like 1/4 way threw the coin. It's super hard to photo due to the light reflecting so bright.
And the pole or pillar at the start of the stairs one sec I'll get you guys good photos if I can

I did best I can with photo of the curve by the pole by the steps even drew it out for you. Normal vs the curve. Then did my best on showing depth of the idk did they ever use a drumel or grind out parts of a coin? It's what it looks like then pressed it. And the G is much larger then normal. And nothing on the other side of the coin could of made any impressions of any shapes so nothing struck threw.
It weighs 3.11

The raised areas on the bays is from die polishing. A die is the opposite of a coin. (Negative) What is raised on a coin, is deeper into the die. The bays and fields are the outside of a die. (Again just opposite of the coin) The bays when polished can be weaken devices like the false columns.

They bays are the outside of the die and when that area is polished, it removes metal off of the die, thus the coins will show a raised on that area of the bay. That is what your are seeing. A thinned area is a reduction, a rise on that area will be seen on the coin. So the issues you are seeing are die events. Nothing that was made on the die when the die was created. So when polishing happens, it is a die event. And only will be seen on this die, unless another die was polished the same way. (which happens often to remove die clash marks) Thus the die was normal and now it is altered by a die event. Not you see, what I see on your coin.

CoopHome: What is a die event? How does this affect the coins struck with that die? die age. as they age, they receive damage. that damage is removed by die polishing. When this happens the coins will be affected when struck with this die with previous die events. this a normal part of life for a die.
