Presumably the coin is made of metal and does not contain any carbon. So how did you carbon test it?

 Silver is inorganic.

Also this Lucius Verus with the chariot reverse is an extremely common tourist replica and as far as I know is not even based on a legitimate example.

And one more thing. Your 2017 year old estimate (which of course is impossible to achieve with carbon dating on inorganic material) would put it 156 years before Lucius Verus' reign.
I can only come to 1 of 2 conclusions:
1) You hold the only known legitimate example of a coin made by time travelling Romans. Very hard to put a price on something like this. Millions to be sure.
2) You intend to defraud someone by selling a terrible fake as genuine.

Well you better go and take that 50k because any real Lucius Verus in this condition would be lucky to fetch 50 dollars. But then again, you have something really special here. Proving that Romans had the technology to travel back in time to A.D. 5 to make a coin of a ruler that ruled from A.D. 161 - 169. Fascinating.

Jordan, go back to the Antique Coin Examination Center and accept their $50K offer.

Here is a seller on ebay that has 10 of them. Buy them all and resell for $50,000. 255158099588

@jor, first welcome to CCF. Second, to help us better document this piece, can you please add the diameter and weight to this thread? Also, perhaps instead of carbon dating as the test method for determining this alloy, you meant something else? For example, it would be nice to know the specific gravity. Thx.

@marti, please take it down a notch. You have made your point quite clearly upthread and are now moving into being mean-spirited. Thx for helping to keep CCF friendly.
