Also the mintmark style was the mms-007.Full-step

@chgk1628. I am sorry but I do not see the ODV-028 here. I see the normal ODV-027
Also not see the RPM-007. We let the others to chime on this topic.
In what it is concern full steps: The full steps apply to the Nickels not to the Penny. Even if you look for full steps your coin do not qualify for.

MMS-008 is normal for that year.

The mintmark on your coin has been damaged. It is normal for that year. (MMS-008)

I have a question about the red arrow pointing the bowtie's short golden line of the above cent. It looks neither chip nor Die Deterioration, it seems like a deliberately existent mark.
Here's another 1972 LMC's bowtie pic, it's completely different to the above cent

Looks like pushed metal from the contact on the mintmark. Just damage to the coin. Damage happens. Pushing the metal creates a raised area on the metal.

When you see something like pushed snow, how it makes it rise, then I always think it is coin damage to the at area. (That is how my mind thinks)
