And here I thought you vanished because you found an entire bag of 1909S VDB's, sold them all and retired.
As to the economy I just wish the stupid news media would stop yelling recession, depression, etc. The more they do, the more people run and hide and don't spend money so then their news stories are correct. In other words the news media creates news, not reports it.
At coin shows I go to people must not read newspapers or watch the gloom on TV. Those shows are more packed with buyers than ever. Prices of coins have not dropped by me at all. In fact it is becoming difficult to haggle with dealers since the shows are so crowded. Why go down in price for me when the person right behind me will pay what he is asking.
As for that 2009 Lincoln Cent. I'll just wait for the ones in change. Way to much hipe about that coin. People are already talking about hoarding rolls, piles, mountains of them. As with any coin, those will never be worth anything if everyone stock piles them new. Finding a worn one will be the one worth money.
If you haven't heard yet, the 2010 Red Book is coming out April 7. Naturally the prices will be off by about 25% or more. If you order one now from Whitman, they will wave postage. Big deal.
OK, now what kind of coins are you stock piling over there?
Do they have commemoratives, proofs? When are you going to send us all some of those?
