Photos lack resolution to see the surface detail as the camera focused on the background instead.

@j3l, first welcome to CCF. Second, this cent should come in severely underweight. I think @john1 is right that it has been exposed to a corrosive environment, such as an acid bath.

Thanks everyone I'm glad to be here. And sorry for the bad picture also I have not weighed it yet but I will let y'all know and I watched the video about rolled thin planchets and the acid baths and the thing that is making me think it was not exposed to corrosives is that I can't bend it

Looks like it was altered on the reverse, before the acid bath. Thus the lines around the center of the design on the reverse. First clue for acid damage? The rims are altered first. The rims go go away because of the acid affecting three sides of the coin Top, bottom and edges. Thus more of the design goes away faster on the dipping in acid process. They used to reduced these coins to be able to spend them as a dime in vending machines back in the day.

I have a couple other coins I am wondering about. Am I Allowed to post multiple times a day or should I wait?

If they are the same event, the answer will be the same. But post your other coins one at a time in different threads. It makes commenting about different coins easier to respond to on our end. Those post that have more than one coin in them, I will pass by as they are harder to comment on each coin.

O.K.,most members who buy one now get the ones with monitors and do not use a memory card in them. They take and post a photo of the monitors screen which gives a poor picture of the coin. John1
