Here are a few more of my recently upgraded IHC's. Although I've had to part with several coins from my type set (mostly duplicates so far), I have been able to use 100% of those proceeds to go towards IHC varieties and upgrades. My greatest limitation at this point is correctly capturing the actual color & tone of these coins. For example the 1903 reverse shown below is actually iridescent purple and blue, although is shows up as almost black. Pics through TPG plastic also presents its own problem. I've made some significant improvements lately and look forward to sharing "Upgrade Part3"

1894 MS64 Red "Minty Freshness" Quality credit goes to Rick Snow. This guy has an exceptional "Eagle Eye" for problem free Indian Head cents.

Great article, Thanks SuperDave. I will definitely give that a try. It sure will be nice if I can get the true colors to show !
I have to admit that I too like the 1903, not just because of the awesome toning, but the proof like surfaces also.

I am deliberately avoiding IHC's - if I ever allow myself to get started on them, my budget will be well and truly blown for all time to come. I really, really like the design, and I think they're among the most beautiful of coins in MS-RB condition.
