I have had this Morgan for about 20 years in a plastic holder. Thinking about having it graded ...Maybe.. Thanks..

Needs to grade MS64 or higher to justify costs. You also need to fix your title.

I guess this is a 78-S. Well struck above the ear and has attractive surfaces. Has few bagmarks but they seem to be concentrated around Liberty's face. a nice MS63 is my assessment. This is a great-looking coin imho.

Solid MS-64, perhaps better, but would like to get a better sense of the luster.

tough call due to glare but the photos are showing a coin that may have been dipped as there are dull surfaces on both sides. not to the point where it would not grade straight but the missing luster may hold it back from a 64 grade. other indicators are the black around the L in PLURIBUS and all along the obv rim from K9-K3

this is a common coin and they are known for strong strikes the breast does not look fully defined. the coin is borderline MS63/64.

consider the retail value at both grades 63 - $130 64-$240
consider grading costs if you do not have a PCGS membership will cost you $70 plus grading fee plus shipping both ways.

this one is a risk to slab as it most likely would come back at 63 and you would spend half the value of the coin to get it slabbed. if it was mine I put it in an air tight and call it a day

A few deep cuts on the face of Miss Liberty keep this one at MS63.

It's not likely to make 64. The cuts are too deep, there are also several on the eagle's breast. The cheek marks look deep and there is another bad one above the eye. Looks like toning near the top of the obverse which is covering underlying lustre, a couple of dings to 'states' and the lettering does have some slight wear. It looks borderline MS62/63 to me. I'd like to think it would grade MS63.

Nice coin. I would say ms-63. Maybe it's just due to the light in the photo, but personally I'd be concerned of the darkness in the fields starting at her nose and going down. Sometimes they might call this cleaned.

Without a doubt dipped.

I bet at a certain angle this coin looks blue-ish.

Not worth having graded.
