Detail looks like a strong VF. If original and undamaged this date would likely sell for around $3000. I expect this one would be hard to sell even at $500.
The hole, along with the other visible damage, really hurts this coin.
It is just an album filler in my opinion and only worth 10 to 20% of what an undamaged coin would sell for on a good day. Any offers would probably be worth less than that.
It's become a hole filler, but even then how many "entry level" sets are going to want to tie up cash in this? Given a choice between an eye appealing F2-AG3 and this, I'd go with the F2. There is value, but it will take time and a big discount to get cash for it.
The biggest factor is demand for problem coins such as this. It will be a hard sell.

Some holes are less distracting than others. This one is particularly bad. I agree that the large hole and pockmarked surfaces would leave the value at around 10-20% of an undamaged coin of similar grade.
You could also think about having the coin repaired. It is a very delicate and time consuming process that is not cheap. It usually results in a better looking coin BUT the repair and re-engraving will always be detectable. Never hurts to send it off for an estimate. Do an online search for "coin restoration service".
Remember though that the coin will never straight grade no matter what is done to it.
