The reverse looks cleaned with what appears to be hairlines in the open fields? Without a return policy...I'd stay away. smat

On review, reverse clearly cleaned. Pass.

Obverse has a good number of lighter diagonal hairlines, reverse hairlines are much stronger. AU Details cleaned, in my book. Shame too, sans the hairlines, would be a nice example.

For what it's worth, this coin was graded by SEGS at AU58+ FH. It hammered at $190.00. I don't understand why some pay these crazy $$.

i dont know why I graded this coin as details. second look it doesn't look cleaned. SEGS is not a reputable grading service that I would use to slab a coin. CCF members are going to be a better and free service. the coin is definitely not FH. here is the description for the designation Standing Liberty quarters receive the Full Head designation when the helmet exhibits three complete and distinct leaves, a complete outline on the bottom of the helmet, and a clear ear hole on Miss Liberty's head.

Interesting, you don't see it as cleaned? The numerous hairlines on the reverse go two directions, and cross from field through letters through wings. I have trouble seeing that as die polish. There's a chunk of debris NE of the beak that has been dragged across the surface, leaving an obvious scratch and still embedded in the coin. Same crisscrossing hairlines are seen all over the obverse.

100% cleaned both sides
Die polishing lines are normally unidirectional and are normally constrained to the fields (there are exceptions)
Luster is scattered and spread, does not cartwheel, another sign of a cleaning, and even if it wasn't cleaned, the technical (sharpness) grade is closer to AU50 than AU58 Certainly nowhere near FH
A grade of AU58+FH is a bad joke or an outright scam.
