None of the fakes have the PCGS logo in the lower right corner of the slab.

I've seen several 83-CC MS-63 counterfeits recently looking on ebay. Surprised that theres enough meat to fake a $300 coin and slab together. They're similar quality to these 81's.

2 more '81-CC's listed today; looks like a common reverse to the '83's I posted above...

This might be a good argument for TPGs to photograph all the coins they grade.

Which is why NGC has been doing that for over 15 years. PCGS still isn't.

PCGS has a number of issues with photographing coins:
1: They still slab many coins with no image taken.
2: Many coins are imaged in the slab. Seems to be done in their HK submissions. The photos are low grade and things like die markers, cracks, scratches, dings etc cannot be seen.
3: Even their Trueview images can be hit and miss with less than sharp images a bane when zooming in to identify die markers
4: Photo cropping often trims the rim. Super annoying when trying to identify features like wire rims.
5: Without sharp images the markers for fake coins in genuine slabs cannot be seen. I collect genuine coins as well as fakes in genuine PCGS slabs, naturally I want to pay far less for the fakes than the genuine

Apologies if this link was posted previously, but if so even, it bears getting out there. Great article and a lot of photos showing the fake vs real PCGS slabs.

I'm kinda paranoid but I always wondered how/if the Coin Grading Companies are regulated.
Favoritism, Bribes (for higher grades). The only graded/slabbed coins I own were sent in by my father
in the 80's & 90's and in today's world the counterfeit issue lowers my trust in the whole process.
That's just me.
