EF45 for me, I had several AU53 and AU55 in slabs that seemed to have a but rounder horns on the buffalo. A really nice example of a often poorly struck date. I also see some planchet issues on the obverse I think that holds it back from much over an EF45 as well, as do the little marks on the rim.

Huh, missed this one somehow. I'm in the XF45 group with a shot at AU50. Checks a couple of boxes on my "what to look for when buying a buff" list. MDS or earlier die state, and better than average strike. Planchet flaw would hold it back in my book as it's not quite "extreme" enough to make it intriguing, rather than a hindrance. Sans the planchet flaw, surface preservation is decent. Overall solid example of a semi key.
