ok I just picked a nother cent up today on this 2018 D cent I'm pretty sure its an m.d but I want to make sure I'm getting it right and I have no clue with whats going on with the rim on both the obverse and reverse any help would be appreciated

@pris, as a general rule, doubling that is exclusively out toward the rim (like this cent) is DDD rather than MD.

Not an Encased Cent,IMHO. Some type of die wear,maybe something to do with Ridge Ring?

I see no doubling; I am referring to the "ring" around the coin.

@john1, I believe there is DDD on the date and mintmark. Thoughts?
