Hey everyone,

Does this look like ex jewelry to you? I was told it could be but I don't see it. If you believe so could you please explain why? Always up for learning.

Wouldn't mind to hear what you think the grade is either!

Thank you!

Some of the rim bruises raise my eyebrow...idk? Beautiful detail and strike. Looks like scattered hairlines on her...the reverse showing the most.
AU details cleaned.
Thanks for sharing!

There appears to be rim damage at the top/bottom/left/right which strongly suggests it was in some sort of (jewelry?) holder.

As for grade, the resolution of your image makes it difficult to determine.

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely see the rim damage at the bottom. But figured it was dropped at some point.

Would agree it has been cleaned as well. But still a beauty!

It could have been in a bezel but there doesn't appear to be any serious damage. The main issue is it does look cleaned. Detail is AU and this Classic Head design is indeed a classic.

AU details, not necessarily cleaned.
Normally, gold does not require cleaning, even by those who don't know.

The 'details' in this case may very well be the result of this coin being part of a jewelry piece at some period of time.

High AU detail, not obviously damaged. However, the surfaces show lots of tiny contact marks and abrasions which could be the result of being worn as jewelry. If it were mine I might invest in an ANACS submission. If it graded problem-free it would be a good score.

No obvious damage from ex-jewelry. However the rim bump on obverse at 6 O'clock could be from a bezel, but doesn't appear to be based on rim photo. Does appear to have been cleaned. Pics are tough to grade from, but AU details seems about right. Good eye appeal.
