The few drops or dots dripping off of the 4 o'clock leaf are not marks but they are, instead, part of a die crack of which there are three on this coin.

I am unsure how the color would affect the grade but it wouldn't hurt including some shots that truly depict the actual color and tone of the coin. I had to take these photos much further away from the coin so the detail is not there but the color is right on.

My camera, unfortunately, it's not picking up the reflectiveness or shininess of the patina which would help it in the MS grading range etc.

Might just make AU58, unsure of surface originality though. Gotta love those die cracks.

Really hard to tell from these photos but the coin looks uncirculated. I'd venture a tentative guess of MS62 without being able to hold the coin in hand. Could be AU but I am not seeing any real wear areas or even light rub marks. Lighting could be much better though.

They were gonna get their moneys worth out of these die...strike looks nice both obv and rev. Nice full stars and even the 5 looks pretty well defined. Other than the flaw in the die on the 4th and 5th column of the shield just a little tick on the 4th.
MS-62
I like it!

There seems to be a small spot of rust between the I and the T and above the first A in America. Although they are very small, how much could they detract, if any, from an MS grade?

In other words, based upon past experiences could rust in this format be a limiting factor from jumping from 58 to a 60? Does the MS arena allow for micro dots of rust?

And finally, are there any books that specifically address varieties for this series? If after all of the comments have come in, what TPG would be best to use to determine if it is a new variety?
