Confirming the faded "trust" is not a photography issue?

I can see anywhere from AU58-MS63. Looks like it may have seen light circulation, but surface preservation is excellent for a lightly circulated example. Surfaces do look a bit dull though, may just be the images. Not much in the way of any heavy contact marks, sans a few tics here and there and a few light reverse scratches. If it is MS, then luster would keep it back in my book to no higher than 63.

It's a die artifact Can't see below the date for the telltales but this might be a RPD (possibly FS-312)

What the heck, I'll say MS-65.

I'd love much larger photos, but from what I can see in enlarging what we have to work with, maybe MS62/63 a weakly struck motto isn't uncommon on the 1883 shield nickles and usually results in a very strongly struck date area, this coin shows a touch weak on both so maybe it is just glare from the lighting. Only issue beyond the lack of luster (hard to tell if it's truly weak or just the lighting through plastic) is the little hit around 8:00 on the obverse. The reverse has a couple of very minor issues but - really strongly struck stars, almost makes me think of a proof. In fact I'm not entirely convinced that it's not a proof, the weak strike on the date is throwing me though.
Final estimate from the photos we have to work with is MS62 or PR62.

If my cheating is correct, that's pretty funny.

lighting is always a factor when assessing by photo. in this case the surfaces appear to be dull and missing almost all luster. I dont believe the coin to be proof. the strike just doesn't look right for it however the holder is covering part if the rims. the denticles just dont have the look of a proof from what can be seen. I think the coin is MS. either MS62 or 63
