The Controversial Six Cents Piece

In 1912 Woodrow Wilson spearheaded a new denomination to be minted. The US Mint was given the task of producing a six cent piece. This led to much controversy with the majority led Republican Congress (Wilson was a Democrat).

There were a few specimens secretly minted in San Fransisco under the closer supervision of David Carlson, the current head of the US Mint. 25 pieces were minted but only 3 of which have survived. 2 are held in private collections and one is in the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library currently on display in his home town of Staunton, Virginia.

Nice photoshop work...the S in SIX was copied from CENTS.
I think I'd pay $.06 for a 1912-S, even if the back said ONE

When I saw the title, I thought maybe someone found an Australia 6 pence while roll hunting or something.
