The human brain is wired to pull images out of random marks in the things we see as a protection mechanism. The phenomena known as Pareidolia keys on the shapes like eyes, teeth, claws and other potential threats in the background to help us survive in the wild. Here's a picture of a dead tree in the Wildlife Refuge that's adjacent to our backyard. It's just a stump, but it almost looks human! In higher grades a lot more detail of the statue could be seen. And yeah, looks like a floating roof. I believe it's still considered technically an error (or at least a variety), but too common to be worth anything, especially in this grade. Report this Post to the Staff
