There is not much left to say or do regarding your Wheat cent. Yes, it has been plated, and yes it's considered damage.

Spend some time reading past postings here, you'll find a wealth of information and interesting items. We're here to help you, so toss out any questions about specific coins you might have. Between all of us, you're bound to get answers you seek.

to the CCF! What else do you have to show us/ask about?

to the CCF!

I too am glad you found this group! You can truely benefit from the extensive amount of knowledge held by the members of Coin Community. Many members have not just years of experience, but decades.

Post any questions that you have and show us images of your collection.

I'm an Error and Variety collector and have been for 51 years, but I still turn to the CCF when I have questions and learn new things almost every day.

I'll be watching for new post from you and can make myself available as needed. While I don't know everything, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions if possible and provide you with information on where to look and who to ask when I can't.

Hope to talk to you soon!

I started coin collecting and Stamp collecting, since postage was 4 cents for a letter.

Oh my coop. I remember those 4cent letters. Late 50's.
I was and still collecting sports cards. Didn't start coins until 30ish years ago.

Knox is listed with 0 posts which I think means he left

I don't want to hijack this thread, but do want to slightly clear up things with regard to posts. You get "credit" for a quality post, which generally means you are adding something to the discussion. It also means you are posting in one of the subforums that offers credit. @knox had originally posted in the welcome to CCF subforum, which happens not to be one of those. I moved their thread here to this subforum and so all replies, including those from @knox should be accumulating credit. Your post count doesn't decrease if you leave CCF.

@knox, best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin. Thx!
