The ram e-shop is down for "maintenance" and the advised phone number is "switched off". They keep on extending the start time by 15 minutes. Way to go!!!! I have to start work soon so guess the dealers and flippers will get most of the coins. Edited by David Graham 11/02/2022 5:53 pm

Yes, the RAM has fashioned a stick for it's own back. The system can't keep pace with their hype. Even Optus call centre functions better than this.

Yes David,Dealers will be the big winners, they get their allotment and will keep them until the price rises. As I posted on the Oz. Coin site if the RAM eShop couldn't cope yesterday what chance would they have with today's feeding frenzy.
Very simple solution,RAM should offer registered buyers the chance to buy 2 or 3 via Email, then the sale could be all handled in a orderly manner.
Doesn't worry me,i'll stick to my pre-dec Coins.

Must agree Basil, just this one time my curiosity was piqued and I thought it might be a smart investment. But I don't think I couldn't be bothered now.... I never wanted to make a career out of it.

I do wonder why it's even set at 3 coins per person and not 1. It's not like a concert ticket sale. A genuine collector does not need 2-3 coins in their collection. Yes, it's nice to have some for trade but most collectors see the second or third coin as a means to make the purchase of the first coin net zero or even make a profit. The 2022 Red Poppy $2 has a mintage of 60,000. If the first 20,000 shoppers buy 3 coins then then the supply runs out. Genuine collector number 20,001 ends up with no coins and has to suck it up or buy one of the surplus coins from another collector at a marked up price.

Heaps already on ebay for between $200 to $450! How do so many get there so quickly?

The latest from the mint. at 1:11pm CDST
The Mint is experiencing continued technical difficulties with its website.
We have made the decision to delay the release of November products through our online store until these issues can be resolved.
These products will not be released today. Customers will be advised through Mint's Facebook page of the revised release date.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued patience.

ahh bugger.. I was patiently waiting all day for the que to come up. I wonder how many more coins are left for online sales... after distributors, direct instore sales and pre orders :( and totally agree about the point on why they are making it 3 per customer... it makes no sense

I like some of the slightly cynical comments, of an Australian character.
This problem doesn't worry me, either. I am a bit like Basil, my collecting interests are elsewhere, but I will collect any new type of any denomination at face value , that has been issued into circulation. Collection will never have any significant value, but I am having fun anyway.

It's NCLT so it doesn't bother me either. I have the original and that's good enough for me.

Interesting olive branch cast out by the Mint. In response to customer feedback, the available eShop allocation of the 2022 Remembrance Day Coins will be released via a ballot.
The Ballot will commence on Monday 14 November 2022. If you are an eligible customer, you will receive an email with a link to register your intention to purchase.
Ballot entries are limited to one per customer and the purchase limit of three will remain unchanged. Only customers who have not yet purchased this product will be eligible.
FAQs are available here to answers your questions.
Full T&Cs will be included in the Ballot email.
Thank you for your patience.
The Mint.Well at least now I hope to get a fair shake.
