I have here an 1895-s Morgan. It has a very obvious VAM of the horizontal S ( VAM 3? Or 4?) what would the grade be for this coin? Is it worth encapsulating to increase value for selling?

The coin has rough surfaces and heavy hairline scratches but still has value. Probably worth send to ANACS for authentication. Looks like a VF Details coin.

Don't know about any premium for the VAM, but ANACS can attribute it and print the VAM number on the label.

I'll say VF details (harshly cleaned).

VF Details, cleaned. If you are planning on selling, definitely worth getting it slabbed/authenticated.

not sure about the VAM. But agree it has been harshly cleaned which is too bad considering the year.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?
