This is from the book and is a definition of a 50 reverse: Mint mark repunched showing as a horizontal line within the middle of the upper loope opening and a diagonal line at top of lower loop opening. I am not saying this is what your coin is because I cant tell from the pictures and its not graded by a grading company it looks like someone just put it in a holder and graded it themself what they thought it was (unless its some grading company I have never heard of). But I can show you a picture of a 50R s/s down from the book and you look at it and compare it with yours. If you can take a better picture of the "S" mint mark maybe with macro turned on on the camera and we may be able to help with the attribution to wether this is actually a VAM-50 or not. But here is the picture from the book

ENGS is the company showing on the slab. I believe this is another of those grading companies started by an ebay seller who then sells their own "graded" coins. I don't believe that the grade on this holder can be in any way trusted.

In all honesty, I see proof-like surfaces, but there are too many contact marks to make a 65 grade. I would grade it MS63 PL (Proof-like).

I'd say market value would be in the $30 range. If you get it graded by a reputable company and it comes back a 64 PL, then you could see a little more.

See the thing most people dont understand is just because its a VAM coin doesn't actually bring the price of the coin up, the only way it realy matters is if its a top100 or hot50 VAM then it can bring a premium but it just being one of the varieties like the VAM-50 you have and the few I have which arent either of the top100 or hot50 it is basically worth what a regular coin in that grade is worth. And as Susanlynn9 said it has quite a few marks which I think will bring it down from the MS-65 they graded it.

I tink $40 to $50 dollars would be a fair price for the coin.
Rest in Peace

I go along with Susan - MS-63; maybe only MS-62 if that scrape in from of Liberty's mouth is as serious as it looks in the image. The reverse looks beautiful! Not a lot of book value, but a nice Morgan anyway. I think I've heard of "ENGS" before recently, but I don't remember where - it might have been here in another thread. In any instance, the slab actually devalues the coin since it's not a real grading company. Might be better off cracking it out and sending it to ANACS, PCGS, or NGC (ANACS would be my choice).
