I've been looking for one these in the thousands of cents I've looked through only to just discover I already had one! I had purchased a "lot" of coins a couple years back and this coin was in a 2x2 labeled correctly but at the time I didn't realize the significance. I know these are scarce but there sure are a lot of graded ones over at PCGS so I'm not sure this worth sending in.

Spiffy! Yeah, pretty much has to be 66 to be worth grading since they do quite well in 64 and 65 without the slab. Most folks just want a nice one for an album or similar and don't want the slab so RAW sells well.

Nice example. We see lots of 70-S large dates to help ID them for folks, it's nice on occasion to view an actual small date such as yours.

Concur this is best keep out of the TPG holder. Keep it in the 2x2 and label as MS64RD (my opinion on grade).

Thanks for the info and comments!

@MorgansDad- Another PUP for the small date is the weakly struck LIBERTY.
