it is hard to tell what I'm looking at. The image is far too pixelated and too close in to get a feel for the coin as a whole.

The reverse is in pristine condition like ms 70 it come out of a roll from the bank labeled 1976 and some coins I could tell had been toned but few where like this only this one is the one I am unsure due to the roll machine damage. Is it true it could still be worth keeping and grading?

I'm not clear what you are asking about. The circular scratches on the obverse of that 1976-D quarter are PMD due to the roll crimping machine. Are you asking if this coin is worth grading? It would cost you $30 to $50 to process though a TPG. It's worth 25 cents. You do the math.

If you are referring to the mint mark as an error,( just guessing as you don't say) then It's not. That is what is known as a broken post and is not considered an error. Value of your quarter is 25 cents.

A little uncertain what we're to evaluate. Are you asking about the potential value of the full roll, or just the ender coin? The ender appears to have classic post-strike mechanical wrapping damage.

Quote: The reverse is in pristine condition like ms 70 it come out of a roll from the bank labeled 1976 Given that the obverse has circulation marks all over it and it has obviously be rerolled at least once (See Wrapping Machine Damage) and PCGS hasn't graded one over 68 I find it very difficult to believe.

OK, I see it now, in your first VERY close close-up image - that is the 'D' Mint mark flattened out by circulation.

D could of been flattened out by the roll machine as were the R and U in "in god we trust" and also the top of dear George's head.
