The one you are comparing it to, is just a coin scratch. Not a mint error, but is post strike damage. It was cut with a knife. On the mint error, they were trying to make it look like, the area would be raised, not incuse:
2001-Kentucky-Quarter-Error
Your coin will be like example one. A cut mark into the coin. The die event would be a die crack that is raised like example #2. Note there is also a die chip on the raised line on the die crack. If like #1, then it is a spender. (Was a normal coin, that was damaged, probably intentionally)
