Eisenhower Bicentennial Type 2, Most Likely Machine Doubling, But Wanna Ask. (1976 Dollar)

In my opinion this type of Machine Doubling was caused by a very loose setup of the machine causing a slight rotation and some bouncing creating the multiple layers we see here. The last 2 pictures (the ones just before the full coin images) show Reed Marks on the ear and at the edge of the neck. (contact of a reeded edge of another reeded coin). Collecting since 1972. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/26/2022 1:21 pm On the larger coins, the Machine Doubling is often seem more on these. Just a dollar coin. Looks like the MD was not in a single direction, but the machine was very loose and rotated CCW slightly altering the devices in a rotated pattern. Just a normal coin now. Second, when you see doubling that is step-like in appearance and decreases the width of the letters, that is going to be Machine Doubling. You got it right on this one.
