I found this penny in my change today and where the 'L' in liberty usually is on the obverse the copper cladding is missing. In the area it's missing there looks to be a piece of another metal embedded into the coin. Also, is this off center enough to be anything of value?

This coin does probably have a peice of metal embedded in the coin, possibly when it was struck. As for the value of the coin...you better ask someone else.

Obverse appears to be a slight misaligned die. The other areas in question appear to be corrosion caused by zinc exposed through the copper plating. I believe this is a spender

Agree, modest misaligned die. Copper paled is ruptured in spots and zinc rot is setting in. Value is one cent.

I agree with zinc rot damage and worth 1¢ if you spend it before it totally rots away

no mint error, just post mint damage. Zinc rot has already started, spend it while you still can.

to the CCF! P.S. - nice photography!
