Rare, and hard to see even with a loupe, this one is very hard to find in any grade. Picked it up in a group of coins I bought last week and paid $25 for it. I consider that a bargain for this die in this condition.

Thats quite a minor doubling - I'll take your word for it.

What's up with the apparent dot between the 1 and 9? Plating bubble?

Note the spread on the '96.' Looks more like the DDO-001:

1996 1¢ WDDO-005:

Description: A strong CW spread from a pivot at about 9:00 shows on GOD WE TRUST, the lower front of the bust, the eyelid, the upper front hair details, and the date.

Coop, no. Die 1 is a clockwise spread, completely opposite of this coin with a very clear counterclockwise spread. Just look at the L in LIBERTY to be absolutely clear if you can't see that in the doubling of the date. My attribution is correct, easily verified from the images, and again not helpful adding a ton of links to coins that are not the coin posted.

Nice find on a hard-to-find variety. Congrats.
