@sut, I'm glad to see that you were able to post some pics of your cent. I have split them from your previous thread asking for help so that folks can concentrate on just this coin.

Yes, looks interesting, but photos need to be a sharp as possible. Full and sharp photos of the obverse and reverse would be very helpful. Thanks.

A long soak in 100% acetone might be a first step in narrowing down what the issues are--perhaps dried glue or similar residue?

Please remove coins from 2x2 holders before taking photos...always.We will need better photos to really help you. The better the photos you post the better we can help you.I am not seeing this as a mint error.it looks like PMD of some sort.

Better are needed so we can help you. A photo of the entire coin, both sides please, as well as one or two closeups of areas of interest. Thanks.

I will soak in 99% isopropyl alcohol and try to get better pictures. I expected the disbelief.

I'd suggest acetone. For me, it performs much better than isopropyl alcohol.

Please understand that you have the coin in-hand and can look at it from any angle, under any lighting. You can see details which we cannot.. All we have are the pics posted above.

Looking forward to seeing full, large and sharp images of the obverse and reverse after a long soak. Thanks.

I appreciate the acetone advise. But, I am running low. I have 99% Industrial Grade alcohol therefore, I will try that first. I have an opinion of how this coin was produced. I was hoping that someone would see that rare possibility also. This is an educational example that I wanted to post. It will be sent for grading eventually.

After you spend money on a grader, please come back with the results to show us the rarity.

It will not be an accurate respond from anyone by looking at these images, they are simply not clear to assess.
