This reminded me of the infamous rockwell hardness test mark but I realize those are nearly impossible to confirm. This mark is incuse and more shallow than it appears.

If there is a push out on the coin, then it could be damage from a punch? (If it were damage is would be on the branch next to the house)
If the opposite side is not pushed out, then it could be struck through debris?
But to me the shape is not correct or a Rockwell Test.

Looks like post mint damage to me, not a struck though, in my opinion.

No evidence of that strong of a post-mint blow on the reverse, so I vote strike-through.

This is the wrong shape and size for a Rockwell Test. It is not hemispherical in shape and does not have a perfect circle outline. A Rockwell test mark will be no large than 1/16" inch diameter, since that is the size of a ball indenter. The only possible place a Rockwell could survive, is the field and even that is debatable.
