This one is a bit more interesting when you look closely. The reverse is a pretty normal-looking off center, but the obverse shows very strong brockage, and, just a bit of the date from the coin being struck. The 1 and part of the 9 are visible, which I find odd. By my guess that means that the coin that was struck through, creating the brockage, was also off center and almost aligned right on top of this coin with just enough offset to let the partial date struck. No Date Lincoln Memorial cent mint error - off center partial brockage

Not seeing a date. The off center is a copy from another cent reverse coin. The transfer was from a struck coin. The Other coin would be a double struck coin. (to bad you don't have it as well) Unique find.

Thanks! It's a fun one. And coop, the partial 19 of the date is visible on the sliver of normally struck coin in the upper right of the image of the obverse. And where you say "The off center is a copy..." you mean "The brockage is a copy..."

Very neat and unusual!!
Question -
are these types of anomalies/errors found in bags of coins being searched? Obviously they can't be rolled.

Incredible, I just purchased a very similar looking coin in ANACs holder MS63. Similar ND with only 19 showing.

Looking forward to seeing your coin HI. I was surprised to see that aspect of the error, but when the coin making the brockage is also off center then I suppose things like that can happen.

I'll post better photos when I receive it. They are remarkably similar and likely made same time same place approx? The reverse looks like yours. I'm assuming yours weighs 3.11ish?

Wow, that is about the same thing only yours shows more of the coin being struck. Spiffy! I did weigh mine but failed to write it down on the slip. If I remember correctly it came in around 3.04 so I considered it normal weight.

Thanks, I just wanted to confirm it wasn't a zincoln, though its pretty obviously not. I'm still a bit confused on this error. So, the brockage creating coin was an off-center die cap that then struck an off center planchet?
