Here's a handy help I've done. It's hard to pull the albums out of the slip covers when they are crowded on a shelf.
To help, take all the pages out, put a piece of double stick tape on the inside spine, cut a piece of brown 1/2" ribbon at an angle, put in album with about 1 1/2" sticking out the bottom. Now when you want to pull the album out to look or add coins, it's easier.

Now that is a grand idea!
With your permission, I may have to copy that. As it is now, to get an album out, I need get to the top of one then shake it a bit to dislodge it enough to grab it.

I used Intertape 591 3/4" tape. It is a woodworking tape, will hold for years without drying out and won't outgas to damage coins. You can find it online for about $10 a roll.
Rest in Peace

Awesome collection of Danscos!

I have about 10 Danscos at this point. Some of them were gifts, some I picked up used, some I got on sale, and only one or two did I pay list for. I also have about 15 Whitman Classics and a couple of CAPS albums. So yeah, storage certainly adds up, but (as has been argued many times before) when you consider the value of your collection, it pays to buy the good albums for protection, organization, and display/enjoyment.

And yeah, I know a lot of you swear by the 2x2s in 3-ring binders; an equally valid and worthy approach

I also believe that it add value to the collection as a whole as well - not coin by coin but all together in one spot, organized and documented.

If you have decided to use ring binders and that you have 20 x Dollar size coins in the album pages then
four ring binders become essential to support the weight of the page. Each fully loaded page weighs about 560 grams.
Due to the weight of the page, it is necessary to store the albums horizontal.

In the 17 page trade sample binders that I use,
the average weight of 20 coins, each in a 2x2, is about 7 grams.
The total weight including binder, is around 2.6 kilograms.

The albums on display are quite impressive, but
I would be a little nervous about openly displaying my whole collection. That is why my most valuable coins are stored in a small safe, that is reasonably well hidden.
The 5 albums mentioned in my earlier post store my working reference collection, but are still stored out of sight in a a large box, on the floor of a cupboard, and thus I have shied away from obvious display of the collection, but still have reasonable access to it.
