The planchet was cut over the edge of the stock metal, thus the missing area on the coin. It is called a "Straight Clip." (Clipped over the edge of the stock) Report this Post to the Staff
sirguardian Valued Member United States 354 Posts	Posted 12/29/2022 4:22 pm This looks "clipped" to me. Uniform edge, minor roll back of metal on the surface from the heat. I can't really see the surface of the cut. Report this Post to the Staff
