Hey , so I'm getting back into collecting and I recently purchased an uncirculated set of Westward Journey nickels and the 2009 Lincoln set . I'm in the hunt for a 2019 W Lincoln just because it is somewhat unique .

I think the Westward Journey set was very nicely done by the designers. The Lincoln set is " meh " , but the one with the unfinished Capitol Dome is nice ( I work in DC and see the dome on a regular ).

Any suggestions on some modern " one - offs " or different stuff is appreciated.

Here is a top 100 list of modern coins might give you some general ideas https://www.PCGS.com/top100/details Its a very good but open question since unfortunately there are so many different coin types to consider and everyones personal taste and budgets are different. Even beyond the normal you are thinking you could go into errors and varieties which can be unique or different, and there are books as well (beyond the free online sources and searching this forum you can use) https://www.amazon.com/Strike-Rich-...p/0593328604 Modern Silver Collectible rounds and ultra modern coins are another outside the norm since they now make them in tons of designs that interest people and can be of limited mintages to boot. Of course most here are typical purist collectors and they will be happy to discuss any of the normal coinage picks. As an example they may mention limited quantities of S-mint America the Beautiful Quarters https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-c...remiums.html or 2019/2020w Quarters https://coins.thefuntimesguide.com/...-w-quarters/

I'm a fan of the 'W' track. A 2020 nickel, a 2019 quarter, a 2020 privy mark quarter. The quarters you might even find in change. You could also pick up a 1996 dime and a 2014 half and have a 'W' mint set. Another path is different finishes, enhanced uncirculated, reverse proof.

I really like the 2019 cents. You can also get the W quarters. There is also the reverse proof w nickel.

Thanks for the ideas . I actually bought 2013 S - 2014 S ATB sets the other day ( because they were cheap ). I also decided to get the civil war Indian set again 1859 - 1864 ( I sold my set as a foolish young man ). I found a nice 1859 that I could afford and I'll pace myself for the others.

That top 100 list is really interesting. And you're right , the silver versions of the 2000 forward years are mostly reasonable.

I like the stuff in the photo , the proof bison is awesome !!!
