Glad I got this many years ago. They've gone up in price quite a bit.
Currently residing in an NGC slab. What are your thoughts on grade and quality?

Love the die cracks. I'd say AU-55.

AU58 looks like it might have just gotten away with a straight grade.

AU Details (cleaned)
But that is an absolutely beautiful coin, Jaobler. From the first year the New Orleans mint produce half dollars.
If you're tired of having it around, just mail it to me and I'll give it a good home.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Here are some additional photos which were taken about 7 years ago. The coin color is more accurately shown in the first pair of photos.

My original purchase was in 2002.

I don't see any signs of cleaning in either set of photos, and I'm less convinced there is actual wear with the second set of pictures. There are some light scratches on the slab showing up, but there are also some hairlines in the fields. Based on the new photos, it might be a straight graded MS-62.
