ok on this 1979 s Susan B Anthony dollar I think I might finally have something I'm not sure what the damage is called on the reverse but I think it bleeds through to the front of it but is it some sort of die crack around the edge it feels sunken or the middle is raised and is the wing doubled is it collectable

@pris, there may be a bit of Ridge Ring around LIBERTY, but mostly I'm seeing what appears to be dried glue on the reverse.

Must be a external material on the coin. Do not seem to be Die problem or planchet.

Glue or lacquer, that is all I see. Yes, maybe Ridge Ring near rim.

that is clear glue - something we see quite often here.
try an over night soak in water first to see if it softens up and comes loose. If not second try is a long soak in PURE Acetone (NOT fingernail polish remover) and see if the will help to remove it.

Agreed - its glue or similar substance added to the coin. It should dissolve in water or acetone.

If Elmer's glue it will probably come loose with even a fingernail. If something stronger, then it is probably something like clear nail polish or lacquer. Just a spender coin.

If it's not coming off easily it could be clear epoxy. Try a much longer acetone soak.. It's post mint damage. It didn't leave the mint looking this way.
