What do you think this coin would actually grade as? (I know it's in a BS slab, I'm buying the coin, not the slab, which is why I ask).

Thanks for any help.

Lincoln Cents are way to hard for me to grade so I will leave this one up to the experts of the series

65/66, but it is hard to tell what is on the case and what is on the coin. Still, a nice coin.

I also think MS-68 is a little high. I'd say MS-66.

Without a good reverse pic, all I'd venture is MS64RB.

Pass on it unless it's really cheap.

Looks to me like there is a considerable size area of light contact on the shoulder and a couple obvious light rubs on temple and cheek and an area on the forehead with light contact marks and a light ding over eyebrow. Another light ding on beard.
I get an attitude toward that company but I like your coin, I would grade it MS64RD from what I can see. I think they goofed up on color or my browser makes it look more red than red/brown Nice coin, lousy holder.

Thanks guys, going to pick it up and have it regraded by NGC. If it comes back MS-63 RB or higher it will be a good deal. =)

With NGC it should come back MS64 RD no problem, maybe even 65. I'd put this in my album as a MS64 RD. Nice coin!

In my opinion, it needs to come back MS-65 RD or higher to be a good deal. An MS-63 RB coin is worth about the same as the submission cost. That's not even taking the cost you paid for the coin into consideration.

Perhaps you have a free NGC submission in your pocket.
