These coins in LDS have a lot of polish marks to try to increase die life (IMHN(newbie)O). These marks are more uniform, parallel, and not all over the coin. What do others think is the cause?

@sil, could it be Feeder Finger Damage?

I thought about feeder fingers, but not being absolutely sure how they work, I hadn't considered they may have been damaged.
Thanks for the the help, Spence.

From what I see on the link you provided, a lot of what I thought were polish lines on coins could be caused by the feeder fingers.

Yes if you look over in the us modern error and variety subforum, there are many good examples. I just don't know enough if this same equipment was used to produce your coin.
