@sil, I'm seeing split serifs on this one and I think you might be right that it is FS-101. My reasoning is that in the varietyvista pics, the first letter T of TRUST has a bit of a overpolished die where the upright meets the left side of the horizontal. Yours has that same area of weakness.
I'm far from an expert though and look forward to a vigorous discussion on this one.

Looks proper to a LDS fs 101 to me however grade worthy can't say. Would need to see full pic of obv and Rev before I could say if it's grade worthy or 2x2 worthy.

@silviosi, To me it looks like 101 stage C, but I have reached out to an expert to check this topic and give his opinion as well. PS. check your email too.

Hi @Silvio, I happened to have this same half dollar sitting on my desk. It's probably not in as good condition as yours but you can use for comparison if you like. I have strong doubling on "Trust" mainly, and also the DDR-002 reverse I believe. Thanks

When I see the serif' on the top right of the T in LIBERTY in you photo, I don't think it matches the 71D DDO-004 in VV. I think the 71D DDO-004/DDR-002 (FS-101) is a possible match, but not the write one. The best marker for that die is the DDR-002. The doubling, even very light, is visible on all Stages A-D in my collection and is the best way to attribute the DDO-004/DDR-002. There is in the photos of the reverse Stage C of this die, DDR-002, on VV, a light die gouge between the rim and the C of AMERICA. That die gouge can be seen on all stages A-D, see attaches photo of Stage C from my collection. Also, you can see some of the notching on the E of AMERICA and very light on the stars under AMERICA. I can't see your photos matching anything in the CONECA Listings.

Well the DDO-006 FS-102 Reverse is normal. Quote: Description: Strong spread on IN GOD WE TRUST, date, and LIBERTY, with four serifs on lower I of IN. http://www.varietyvista.com/12%20Ke...1DDDO006.htmI have one images to work up on the DDO-006 FS-102. Just haven't got to that one yet. (Soon though)
